1 Killed in Lee Roy Selmon Expressway Crash
The accident occurred Wednesday morning at the U.S. 41 exit.

A 31-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash on the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man, who has not yet been identified, was traveling east on the lower deck around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The driver attempted to exit onto U.S. 41, but he lost control and veered onto the shoulder and struck a concrete wall. After hitting the wall, the Ford SUV continued out of control across the roadway, onto the grass and then back across the road before striking a guard rail. That guard rail, a highway patrol reported noted, was split in half by the impact.
The man, troopers say, was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.
