BRANDON, FL — Three teens were arrested for breaking into cars after leading sheriff's deputies on a chase during the early-morning hours Tuesday.
Around 3 a.m., July 16, Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies were called to the 2300 block of Camden View Drive off Woodberry Road in Brandon. The caller said she saw two males, one wearing garden gloves, attempting to break into her vehicle.
When deputies arrived, a car was leaving the area. Deputies tried to pull it over but the car fled north on York Drive. It stopped when it reached the dead end of the road and the driver and two passengers bailed out and began running.

K9 teams and a sheriff's helicopter were called in but couldn't find the three people. However, the car they abandoned had been stolen out of Hillsborough County and stolen property from other car burglaries was found inside.
Then, just before 4:30 a.m., deputies were called to the 1700 block of Orange Hill Drive, just north of the area where the stolen car was abandoned. Three people had been spotted breaking into cars on that street.
