72-Year-Old Brandon Man Dies In Crash On SR 60, Parsons Avenue

BRANDON, FL — A 72-year-old Brandon man has died following an accident Saturday at State Road 60 and Parsons Avenue.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, John Lee Garmon, 34, of Brandon was driving a Ford F150 pickup truck east on State Road 60 west of Parsons Avenue when he failed to stop for a red light. The front of the pickup truck collided with the driver's side of a Honda Civic driven by Alan Leroy Bahr, who was turning left on a green turn arrow.

Bahr died at the scene.

Charges against Garmon are pending.
