90-Year-Old Seffner Man Found
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say the man hadn't been seen since Wednesday evening when he was visiting Tampa General Hospital.

Update: William Metzmeier was found Thursday afternoon in Tampa and has been reunited with his family, the sheriff's office says.

SEFFNER, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking folks to keep an eye out for a missing 90-year-old Seffner man.

According to the agency, William Joseph Metzmeier was last seen Wednesday night while visiting a friend at Tampa General Hospital around 7 p.m. Metzmeier spoke with family around 8 p.m. on his house phone, the sheriff’s office noted in an email to media.
Alarm bells were signaled when Metzmeier did not show up for an appointment at the VA clinic on Thursday morning. He was also supposed to return to Tampa General Hospital, but did not, the email said.

Deputies say Metzmeier has no cellphone and suffers from several medical conditions. He is described as standing 5-foot-6, weighs about 160 pounds and has a large build with a fair complexion. Metzmeier has blue eyes, white, balding hair and wears glasses.
Metzmeier may be driving a 2001 Chevrolet Impala that is maroon in color. It has a Florida handicap tag with the tag number of Y5XBH.
Anyone who has information about Metzmeier’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200.
