• Man charged with DUI after falling asleep behind the wheel on Brandon road: deputies (wfla.com) — A driver was arrested in Brandon after deputies found him asleep in his running pickup, stopped in the middle of Falkenburg Road late Friday night. Deputies reported smelling alcohol, found an open beer can, and charged him with second-offense DUI, refusal to submit to testing, and violating license restrictions, along with an open-container citation.
• Two Florida Men Arrested After 120 MPH I-75 Street Race With Toddlers In Back Seat (tampafp.com) — A Brandon man was among two drivers arrested after troopers say they caught a Dodge Charger and Challenger street racing at over 120 mph on I-75 with two toddlers in one car. Both men face street racing and "super speeder" charges, while the children's father also faces child neglect and both vehicles were impounded for 30 business days.
