Another Wrong-Way Driver Arrested, Deputies Say
The man was pulled over on U.S. 301 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard early Tuesday morning.

A 40-year-old Arizona man is the latest to be accused of driving the wrong direction on Tampa Bay area roads.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified about a driver going north on U.S. 301’s southbound lanes around 1:21 a.m. Tuesday. The man was pulled over in the area of U.S. 301 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the agency reported.
“Upon contact with the driver he displayed indications of impairment to include slurred speech, bloodshot watery eyes and to have an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath,” an email from the agency to media stated. “The driver was arrested for DUI (.177 and .184).”

Mario Thomas of Wudora, Ariz., was subsequently booked into the Hillsborough County Jail Tuesday morning and was later released on $500 bond.
