Arrest Made In Fatal Valrico Bar Shooting

The Thursday morning shooting at One Night Stand left one man dead.

VALRICO, FL — A 29-year-old Valrico man faces second-degree murder charges following a fatal shooting at the One Night Stand bar Thursday morning.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Logan Schwab was charged in the case that began to unfold around 3:15 a.m. at the 1602 E. State Road 60 bar. Deputies say Schwab and Evan Godwin, 25, of Valrico got into a verbal dispute in the bar’s parking lot. As the fight escalated, Schwab is accused of pulling a gun and shooting Godwin several times.

When deputies responded to a 911 call about the shooting, they found Godwin dead in the parking lot. He had gunshot wounds to his upper body, the agency wrote in an email to media.
