Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed Shortly After Crime, Deputies Say
The man is accused of robbing a Chase Bank branch in Brandon.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies made short work of catching a man in connection with a Thursday morning robbery at a Brandon bank.
According to deputies, the robbery happened at 11:37 a.m. when a man walked into a Chase Bank branch at 1101 Brandon Blvd. W. and demanded cash from a teller. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the man left on foot.
Deputies, K9s and aviation units responded to the scene and found the suspect walking north of the bank by the railroad tracks.

Ryan Epperson, 27, was charged with robbery. He had not yet been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail as of Thursday afternoon. Epperson has been arrested several times in the past, most recently on drug-related charges in January, according to jail records.
