Bicyclist Injured In Dover Hit-And-Run
A 51-year-old man suffered serious injuries during a Thursday night hit-and-run crash on Gallagher Road.

Dover, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a 51-year-old bicyclist.
According to the agency, Alvin Chapparo was riding a blue DBX bicycle north on Gallagher Road around 9:25 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle. The impact from the northbound vehicle threw Chapparo from the bike and onto the road’s grassy shoulder.
Chapparo was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital in serious, but stable condition, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies say the car involved is believed to be a 2000 to 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. The color is unknown.
