Endermologie (Cellulite Treatment)

Endermologie is a non-invasive FDA approved cellulite
treatment that uses deep massage and suction to "shrink" the fat
cells responsible for cellulite.

During this 30 minute treatment your technician uses a mechanical massage technique that increases blood and oxygen flow to tissue where cellulite resides, theoretically stimulating the metabolism of fat cells in that area. The endermologie machine consists of two rollers with low-pressure suction that is moved firmly over the problem areas. Each time the rollers come together, the skin is forced into a fold, squeezing the subcutaneous fat cells and slightly compressing them to remove the cellulite dimpling. The intensity of the massage can be effectively adjusted for your comfort.

While most clients find the sensation -- much like that of a deep tissue massage -- to be pleasant, clients who are especially sensitive to pain should speak to their
physician. Fluids from the massaged cells are then naturally absorbed and
removed during urination. This causes the cells to be temporarily reduced in
size. Endermologie also increases blood flow to the treated area, which stimulates the drainage of accumulated fluid that also contributes to the puffy look.

It eliminates the need for anesthesia and recover, endermologie’s advantage over liposuction is the fact that it is non-invasive.  The entire procedure is performed outside of the body, and the skin is never penetrated. This virtually eliminates the risk of scarring and infection. Minimal bruising is possible, but most clients report feeling relaxed or energized after a session.

The most important thing to remember about endermologie is that the entire
treatment regimen must be completed. Results are usually noticed after the
sixth treatment and gradually get more and more dramatic as the treatments
progress. Endermologie is not for weight loss.  It works best with the proper diet and exercise.

It is important to be properly hydrated when undergoing the Endermologie procedure. Drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water should be sufficient, and the same level of hydration should be maintained for several weeks after treatment to help flush out the fluids created by the stimulation.
