Brandon 4th of July: Parade, Road Closings

The fun kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4.

Brandon area residents who want to take in a parade to kick off the 4th of July holiday can head down to Parsons Avenue and Robertson street to take in the annual show.

The parade steps off at 10 a.m.at the corner of Lumsden Road and Parsons Avenue. Floats, bands and more will make their way north on Parsons and then turn west onto Robertson Street. The parade wraps up just before the Brandon Boulevard Publix store at Buckingham Place.

To accommodate the festivities, Lumsden Road will close between Kings and Parsons avenues around 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Parsons Avenue and Robertson Street are set to close at 9:30 a.m. Oakfield Drive will remain open throughout the parade.
