Local Firehouse Subs restaurants raise money for Shriners Hospitals, supports burn prevention program

19 Tampa locations donate 15% of sales to support hospital's national burn prevention campaign.

Fans of Firehouse Subs had even more reason to visit the restaurant this past weekend.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the nationwide chain’s Tampa locations raised money to support Shriners Hospitals for Children. Participating restaurants included locations in Brandon, Dunedin, Palm Harbor and the Wesley Chapel restaurant where local first responders enjoyed hearty and flavorful subs with pediatric patients treated at Shriners Hospitals for Children- Tampa.

19 participating Tampa locations donated 15% of Saturday’s sales to the hospital, as part of Shriners’ Be Burn Aware national campaign, which educates parents on ways to reduce the risk of house fires and burn injuries during the holiday season. According to the U.S. Fire Administration, on average, 128,700 residential fires happen in the month of December, more than any other time of the year.
