Two state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen chambers are the centerpieces of the new wound clinic. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used to treat serious wound infections, diabetic wounds, radiation injury, thermal burn wounds, decompression sickness that results from scuba diving, air bubbles in blood vessels, carbon monoxide poisoning and anemia due to severe blood loss. Patients receive 100 percent pressurized oxygen in the chambers. This oxygen therapy provides multiple benefits including increased wound healing, increased circulation, collagen growth, new white blood cells and new blood vessels.

In addition to the advanced surgical options and hyperbaric chambers, the outpatient wound clinic will provide patients with care for skin grafts, wound consultations and wound dressing changes, and debridement or removal of damaged tissue. The center features private treatment rooms and nurses and technicians who are certified in wound care.
