Brandon Man Dies Following Single-Vehicle Crash On I-275

TAMPA, FL -- A 65-year-old Brandon man has died following at crash Friday on Interstate 275 at Westshore Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 9:27 a.m. on May 17, Dennis J. Gomes of Brandon was driving a Chevrolet S10 north on I-275 approaching Westshore when he suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle, striking a guardrail.

He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he died.
