A 43-year-old Brandon man is dead following a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 301 at Old Hopewell Road Tuesday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Eric Donnell Small was heading south on U.S. 301 in a Ford F150 just before 10 a.m. As Small approached Old Hopewell Road, his truck, for unknown reasons, left the road, overturned and hit a light pole.
Small was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol is not suspected in the crash. Troopers say Small was wearing a seatbelt at the time.
