Brandon Seafood Festival 2015 Set for Saturday

The event has been a community staple for more than 20 years.

Fish and seafood lovers might want to set a course for Brandon on Saturday.

The Brandon Seafood Festival kicks off Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at Rotary’s Camp Florida, 1915 Camp Florida Road. Sponsored by the Brandon ’86 Rotary Club, the 23rd annual southern fish fry is a fundraiser for the club’s charity activities, including helping eliminate polio globally.

Tickets are $25 at the door for adults with a discount for kids ages 12 to 17. The price includes access to the all-you-can-eat fried fish, boiled shrimp, hush puppy and coleslaw buffet. Hot dogs and hamburgers will also be available for the kids.

Once known as Denizens of the Deep, the fish fry is the club’s biggest event of the year. The fun, and food, continue through until about 5 p.m. on Saturday.
