Brandon Teen Charged in Auto Burglary Spree
The boy admitted to several crimes, Hillsborough County deputies say.

A 17-year-old Brandon boy faces a number of criminal charges after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies he broken into several vehicles in the community.
According to the agency, deputies responded to a vehicle burglary call around 3 a.m. Oct. 22 on Woonsocket Lane. Video surveillance captured from the neighborhood led deputies to the teen. His arrest was announced Nov. 4.
After arrest, the teen, who is not being identified by Patch, “admitted to several offenses including vehicle burglaries on Franford Drive and Scotch Pine Drive,” the agency noted in an email to media. “A stolen gun and other items were recovered.”

The teen now faces a host of charges including a single count of armed burglary of a conveyance, one count of grand theft firearm, five counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, two counts of petty theft and third-degree grand theft.
