Brandon Teen Swiped iPhone 6 Off Man's Doorstep
Hillsborough deputies say she helped herself to the package containing the phone.

A 17-year-old Brandon girl faces criminal charges after deputies say she helped herself to a package containing an iPhone 6 that was left on an Apollo Beach man’s doorstep.
According to the sheriff’s office, the incident unfolded Oct. 20 around 4:07 p.m. when a teen wearing a bright orange T-shirt was seen walking around the Harbor Isles community handing out political fliers. The teen dropped off a flier at a Butterfly Shell Drive home and walked away. She returned about 4 minutes later and took a package off the doorstep. That package contained a brand new iPhone 6 valued at $650, the sheriff’s office said in an email to media.
During the course of its investigation, the sheriff’s office learned that Grassroots Florida had people in the neighborhood that day. The organization cooperated and was able to identify the teen. The girl told deputies she was curious about what was inside the package. When she discovered it was an iPhone, she sold it for $250.
