Brandon Walmart Supercenter Shuttered for 6 Months

The store closed down for repairs Tuesday.

Customers who frequent the Brandon Walmart Supercenter will need to find a new location to visit for a while.

The 1208 E. Brandon Blvd. store closed its doors Tuesday and won’t reopen for up to six months to address what company officials are describing as plumbing problems.

β€œWe will immediately begin the process to address these issues and intend to reopen the store as soon as all of the plumbing issues are resolved,” Walmart spokeswoman Amanda Hennenberg was quoted by TBO as saying.

Store officials wouldn’t elaborate on the nature of the plumbing problems, but TBO pointed out that several other locations across the country have closed for similar reasons.

By Tuesday afternoon, Walmart had taken down the Brandon Boulevard location from its website. Other nearby locations that remain open include:

TBO reports that workers will be given temporary pay, but may lose their posts during the closing if they cannot find work at other nearby Walmart locations.
