Brandon Woman Dies After Halloween Night Shooting
The woman was fired upon while walking to her apartment.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who may have information about a 35-year-old Brandon woman’s Saturday night shooting death.
According to the agency, Tiffany James was walking toward her 1807 Chapel Tree Circle apartment around 11 p.m. when she was shot at least once in the upper body. James was taken to Tampa General Hospital where she later died.
Detectives are now looking for Darryl Eugene Williams, 49, for questioning in the case, an email to media from the sheriff’s office said. Detectives have not said if Williams is a suspect in the shooting.

Williams is described as black male who stands about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He weighs about 200 pounds and has short, grayish hair. His last known address is 2002 Thornbush Place in Brandon.
Williams is believed to be driving a four-door 1995 Toyota Camry LE that is gold in color. The car has the Florida tag number of DWI W66.

“At this point of the investigation, detectives do not believe this incident was random,” the agency’s email stated.
