Brandon's Fourth Of July Parade 2020 Is Canceled

Brandon's traditional Fourth of July parade may be canceled, but there is another way to celebrate the holiday safely.

BRANDON, FL — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Brandon.

Although Brandon's fireworks have been canceled, they have been replaced with a virtual show presented by North Port Freedom Festival Fireworks.

The virtual event is from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on July 4, and can be watched via livestream on the Parks & Recreation North Port Facebook page. Listeners can also enjoy the show by tuning in to WKDW 97.5 FM.
