BRANDON, FL -- Helping foster children is as easy as eating a cookie.
Through July 27, the 30 Panera Bread cafes owned by the Covelli Family Limited Partnership will donate 100 proceeds from the sale of its flip-flop-shaped cookies to A Kid's Place in Brandon. Click here for a list of participating restaurants.
A Kid's Place is a state-of-the-art 60-bed facility located on five acres in Brandon. It provides abused, neglected or abandoned children in the foster care system a safe, home-like environment in a neighborhood setting.

The group home lets siblings remain together. The children, who range from newborns to teenagers, can receive on-site therapy, educational and dental services.
