MANGO, FL -- It was a close call for Interstate 75 morning commuters when the driver of a tractor-trailer truck became distracted and lost control of his 18-wheeler.

On Wednesday morning, June 20, Michael A. White, 33, of Zephyrhills was traveling north on Interstate 75. He'd just passed the State Road 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) exit when he reached down for a drink.

As he looked away, White collided with the back of another big rig driven by Ismael M. Roman, 65, of Dade City. Both truck drivers momentarily lost control, zigzagged and but safely came to rest in the outside lane.
