Riverview Woman Killed in Gibsonton Drive Crash

A 58-year-old Riverview woman is dead following a Wednesday morning crash on Gibsonton Drive near Interstate 75.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Victoria Lynn McKinley was heading west on Gibsonton Drive when she made a left turn to get onto the interstate. As she was attempting the turn, McKiney’s vehicle crossed into the path of a vehicle driven by Kenneth Gillette, also of Riverview, a sheriff’s office email stated.

Gillette, 53, was heading eastbound at the time. His Nissan Xterra struck the PT Cruiser driven by McKinley, the email said.

McKinley was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remains active.
