Deer Found Hanging From Flagpole at Brandon High

A dead deer was found Monday morning hanging from the flagpole at Brandon High School, according to several media reports.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, but doesn’t consider it a crime, yet, spokesman Larry McKinnon told the Tampa Tribune.

“It’s like if you threw a dead chicken up there,” he said. “We’re looking into it, though. We’re checking with the school resource officer this morning.”

Students were the first to discover the deer, WTSP notes, leading to several pics and videos shared on social media.

There was no note left and no threat associated with the act, Hillsborough County School District officials told BayNews9.
