Teen In Church Break-In Identified

BRANDON, FL -- The two teens caught on camera breaking into the former home of St. Stephen Catholic Church, 5049 Bell Shoals Road, Brandon, have been identified and one has turned himself in.

On June 8 at about 2 p.m., the teens entered the closed church by damaging the door handle, possibly with a brick. They then entered the kitchen and bathrooms, damaging the bathroom mirrors, the doors and the door handles leading to locked areas of the church building.

Damage is estimated at about $400.

To protect the identity of the minors, Patch has removed a surveillance video provided by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
