Truck Crashes, Spills Load Of Gravel At I-75 Entrance Ramp

Traffic was tied up at the northbound entrance ramp to Interstate 75 at Interstate 4 after a truck spilled a load of gravel.

TAMPA, FL — Traffic was tied up at the northbound entrance ramp to Interstate 75 at Interstate 4 for several hours Tuesday morning after a semi tractor-trailer truck carrying a load of gravel overturned.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 6:30 a.m. Jeffrey Pichardo, 31, of Brandon was driving a dump truck east on Interstate 4, merging into the northbound entrance ramp to I-75 when he lost control. The truck overturned and spilled a load of gravel from its bed.

Pichardo was taken to Brandon Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
