Falkenburg Road Closing Announced
A portion of the road will close for repairs to the CSX railroad tracks.
BRANDON, FL — Motorists who use Falkenburg Road to get around might want to take note of an upcoming closing.
Hillsborough County has announced that North Falkenburg Road between East Columbus Drive and East Broadway Avenue will shut down in both directions starting Monday, Feb. 1, at 7 a.m. The closing is being staged to allow for railroad repairs by CSX. Motorists can anticipate the road to remain closed to traffic through 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8. Weather conditions may delay the reopening.
Drivers are asked to detour to Lakewood Drive or use U.S. 301 during the construction period. Barricades and signs will be posted to help motorists through the detour.
