FishHawk Coyotes Grow With Lacrosse Interest in Eastern Hillsborough

The FishHawk Coyotees Lacrosse board responded to demand with a fall program, which has grown to 220 players from 42 in 2009. Former pro lacrosse player Brian Lemon directs the children's lacrosse program.

The FishHawk Coyotes Lacrosse team continues to grow in the Eastern Hillsborough County community of Lithia, with summer, fall and spring programs under way and an elite travel program slated for next year.

So reports the Bloomingdale Patch, in an article that discusses the Sept. 11 start of the fall season and the director who runs the program, former pro lacrosse player Brian Lemon.

Lemon, the son of Elias "Cy" Lemon, a member of the Candian Lacrosse Hall of Fame, began his pro career in 1989 and spent the next seven years with the Baltimore Thunder, Detroit Turbos and Rochester Knighthawks, in the National Lacrosse League.

Brian Lemon founded the children's lacrosse program in FishHawk in 2009.

The team practices at the FishHawk Sports Complex at 16120 FishHawk Blvd. in Lithia.
