Free Comic Book Day 2015: Tampa Bay Area Stores Taking Part

Tampa Bay area comic book fans hoping to share their passion for superheroes and super villains without having to spend their own cash will get their chance this Saturday.

Free Comic Book Day takes place May 2 with comic book and specialty shops across North America and throughout the Tampa Bay area all signed up to take part. The one-day promotion has been an annual event since 2002, designed to introduce newbies to the fascinating world of comic books.

While every retailer signed up for the event may have its own rules about participation, those who visit a shop on the list will receive “at least one free comic” if they “enter a participating shop location,” the event’s website states. Titles may vary by location.

Here are the stores in the Tampa Bay area that are taking part in this year’s observance by handing out free comics:
