Hawaiian Fugitive Could be in Florida, Feds Say

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

A fugitive wanted in Hawaii might be hiding out in Florida, federal officials say.

Luke J. Warner, 48, is accused of skipping out on a 10-year federal prison sentence after being convicted on meth trafficking charges, the U.S. Marshals Service says. Warner is now one of Hawaii’s Top 15 most wanted fugitives. He also faces a prison sentence from the state of Hawaii.

“Luke Warner’s blatant disregard of the court’s ruling and his decision to challenge law enforcement has made his apprehension a top priority,” said U.S. Marshal Gervin Miyamoto. “Our Deputy U.S. Marshals and our federal and state law enforcement partners are determined to ensure Warner faces justice.”

Warner has ties to Bartow and Miami, U.S. Deputy Marshal Brad Bolen told Patch.

“He loves to be on the beach,” Bolen said. And, “loves to buy and sell gold.”

With his propensity to gravitate toward beach areas, it’s possible he’s in the Tampa Bay area, Bolen said.

Warner also has ties to California, Iowa and Massachusetts.

Warner, who uses the alias Louis Manetti, has an extensive criminal history that includes armed robbery, weapon and drug possession and theft. He is 5-foot-7-inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. Warner has graying hair, light brown eyes and a small facial divot on his left cheek. He’s also known to frequent jewelry shows and swap meets.

Anyone who has seen Warner is asked to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office or call 1-800-336-0102.
