Hillsborough County 2016 Presidential Primary Early Voting Locations

The polls are set to open to early voters next week in Hillsborough County.

TAMPA, FL — Registered voters in Hillsborough County can cast their ballots in the 2016 Presidential Preference Primary early starting Feb. 29.

The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Election’s Office announced Monday that polls will be open Feb. 29 through March 13, including weekends, for registered Democrats and Republicans wishing to vote early. The county plans to have 15 sites open between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day.

Residents wishing to vote will find that Florida has closed primary elections. That means Republicans can only vote for those on the Republican ballot and Democrats can only vote for the candidates on the Democrat ballot.

To expedite voting, the supervisor’s office recommends registered voters bring two forms of identification with them, including a signature and photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a Florida driver’s license, Florida ID card, U.S. passport, debit or credit card, Military or Student ID, public assistance ID, neighborhood association ID and a retirement center ID, among others.
