Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center To Unveil New Lobby
A grand opening for the new lobby at the Falkenburg Road facility is set for Tuesday.
TAMPA, FL — Hillsborough County residents eager to see the new lobby at the Pet Resource Center will get their chance Tuesday morning.
The county has announced plans to celebrate the completion of a $500,000 renovation project at the 440 N. Falkenburg Road facility on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The renovation of the center included an addition with the overall project intended to create a bigger, more welcoming environment that “invites visitors to linger,” the county wrote in a media release.
The renovation covered about 2,000-square-feet of the main lobby and customer service area. New features include a 285-square-foot addition, a new welcome desk, self-service kiosks, new “cat condos” and energy-saving LED technology, among other upgrades.

As the new center is revealed, residents interested in adopting “ready to go” cats and dogs will find a $14 special remains active through February. The price includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchip with free registration, a tote back and a county pet license tag.
