Homeless Woman in Wheelchair Killed in Seffner Accident
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say the accident occurred during Thursday evening's heavy rains.

A 51-year-old woman is dead following a Thursday traffic crash outside of the Walmart on County Road 579 in Seffner.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said Rosemarie Sarina was heading southeast across County Road 579 in a wheelchair near the entrance to Walmart when the 7:45 p.m. accident happened. A 1997 Dodge van driven by Theodore Humphry was heading south around 40 mph in heavy rain at the time. Humphry saw Sarina and tried to swerve, but struck her with the front of his van.
Sarina, deputies say, was thrown from the chair into the northbound lane when a Toyota Tundra pickup, driven by Robert Carlton McGinnis Jr., struck her. McGinnis was unable to avoid Sarina, deputies say.
