Homicide Under Investigation in Plant City

The Plant City Police Department is investigating a homicide that was uncovered late Tuesday evening.

Police received a call about an unconscious male at 2912 W. Reynolds St. around 11:22 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man lying outside the home with apparent upper body trauma, an email to media from the department stated.

Plant City Fire Rescue personnel arrived on the scene a short time later and pronounced the man, Manuel Silva Maldonado, 39, dead.
