ICYMI: Tampa Man Says Delta Airlines Lost His Dog
The 6-year-old pit bull has been missing since Halloween.

A Tampa man’s flight home from Los Angeles turned into a Halloween horror when Delta Airlines flight staff pulled him aside to say his dog had escaped his crate and was nowhere to be found.
Ty, a 6-year-old pit terrier, is still missing, and owner Frank Romano says the airline is to blame, according to Today.
Delta says all procedures were followed and it “regrets this occurred while this pet was in our care,” according to The Tampa Tribune.

Officials at Los Angeles International say a search for Ty was conducted but has since been called off, the Tribune reported.
Delta claims Ty chewed through his carrier, but Romano said photos of the crate look like the door was broken.

“They sound like they lost a piece of baggage –that’s it,” Romano was quoted by KTLA as saying.
While Delta issued Romano a $200 credit for the flight Ty didn’t take, Romano just wants his dog back.
“He’s my best friend,” Today quoted Romano as saying. “I just want to see him again.”
While Ty is still missing, Romano remains hopeful he will turn up. The white and brown bull terrier is microchipped.
