Inaugural Lung Cancer walk on Oct. 5 at Al Lopez Park

For the first time, a Free to Breathe lung cancer 5K run/walk and 1 mile walk is coming to the Tampa area on Oct. 5. A group of local volunteers are striving to raise lung cancer awareness and funds to double lung cancer survival by 2022 in honor of loved ones they have lost to the disease. Lung cancer claims more lives than breast, colon, and prostate cancers combined. They hope to spread the word that everyone with lungs is at risk, not only smokers.
