TAMPA, FL — The man wanted in connection with the April slaying of an elderly Dover couple has been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.

Michael Herald, 48, was arrested in Hazard, Ky., following the April slaying of Nancy, 73, and John Engelhart, 76, at their 10075 McIntosh Road home. Sheriff’s deputies were called out to the Engelhart’s home around 7 p.m. April 14 to perform a welfare check on the couple. When they arrived, they learned the couple had not been seen in several days, an email from the agency said.

“Deputies discovered the two deceased inside of a shed on the property,” the email said. The couple’s vehicle was also missing.
