Man Charged In Homicide On Edgedale Circle

BRANDON, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has charged a man with second-degree murder following a dispute Tuesday morning that turned deadly.

At 10:08 a.m., deputies were called to a home in the 900 block of Edgedale Circle off South Kingsway Road for a shooting.

The victim, a man in his 30s, previously lived at the home with a female resident. He showed up at the home to pick up his personal belongings and got into an altercation with Carldon Travis King, 35, who was visiting the home. During the altercation in the front yard, deputies said King shot the man who was retrieving his belongings. That man was pronounced dead at the scene.

King remained at the scene and called 911. He was subsequently charged with second-degree murder and booked into the Orient Road Jail.
