Minor Injuries in I-4 Construction Zone Crash
The accident happened at the Crosstown connector Wednesday morning.

Two people ended up in the hospital with minor injuries following a crash along eastbound Interstate 4 at the Crosstown connector entrance ramp.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1:41 a.m. as Jasmine Davis, 27, of Tampa was heading east on I-4 in the inside lane. A second vehicle driven by Jesse Christen, 59, of Parrish was parked on the inside shoulder of the entrance ramp to Crosstown connector at the time. Christen’s pickup truck and the trailer it was towing were in a sectioned off work zone, troopers noted.
Christen was sitting on the trailer’s fender when troopers say Davis entered the construction zone and failed to “merge with the cone taper set in place,” troopers wrote in an email to media. Davis’ vehicle struck the right side of the trailer. He was propelled from the trailer onto the median.
