Music Showcase Teacher Accused Of Sexual Battery With Student
Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives have arrested a music teacher at Music Showcase in Brandon accused of sexual battery on a student.

BRANDON, FL —Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives have arrested a music teacher at Music Showcase in Brandon accused of sexual battery on one of his students.
In March, a father signed up his 15-year-old child for guitar lessons once a week at Music Showcase at 402 Oakfield Drive in Tampa, according to the sheriff's office.
According to the sheriff's office, 34-year-old Jason Troche of Moonlit Meadows Loop in Riverview had sexual contact with the student multiple times between June and September during the lessons. Troche is also accused of sending inappropriate messages through social media to his student.

"It’s upsetting that a person put into a position of trust and care for one of our children has violated that trust with his disgusting actions," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We’re not done with this case. We continue to investigate, and ask if there are any more victims of this music teacher, to please reach out to us. Let us seek justice for you, and get you the help and care you will need."
Troche admitted to investigators he knew the victim was underage and that he had sexual relations with the victim, said the sheriff.

Troche has been charged with transmission of harmful material to a minor, lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim age 12 to 15 and six counts of sexual battery by an authority figure over a student. He remains in the Falkenburg Road Jail on a $200,000 bond.
