New Seffner Wawa To Offer Free Coffee For 4-Day Grand Opening

SEFFNER, FL — Wawa will host the grand opening of its first store in Seffner Thursday, Sept. 19 through Sunday, Sept. 22.

Located at 11623 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., the celebration will include free T-shirts for the first 100 customers through the door, a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials and a charitable hoagie-building competition between the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

Additionally, to celebrate the Seffner grand opening, Wawa will offer free coffee to all customers at this location from Thursday through Sunday.

“At Wawa we recognize that our customers lives move at a rapid pace, and whenever we open new stores, it is our goal to deliver our unique brand of convenience in a way that fits our customers busy lives and is attuned to their specific tastes,” said Todd Souders, senior director of Florida Store Operations.

On Thursday, the new store will open to the public at 8 a.m. with T-shirts for the first 100 through the door, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. During the event, Wawa General Manager Bill Jaber, Wawa Area Manager Rich Morton, Wawa associates and customers, and Wawa’s mascot, Wally Goose, will join together for a ceremonial ribbon cutting, officially marking the opening of the store.

The grand opening event will conclude with a Hoagies for Heroes, hoagie-building competition during which the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue will face off to see who can build the most hoagies in three minutes in the traditional Wawa way.

Wawa will conclude the Hoagies for Heroes competitions by presenting checks on behalf of the winning and runner-up teams for $1,000 to the charities of their choice.

The grand opening of this location marks Wawa’s first store in Seffner, and the 26th store in Hillsborough County in Florida.
