PALM RIVER, FL -- A Palm River restaurant is closed following a fire that broke out around 10 a.m. Monday.

According to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, crews arrived at the Palm River Cafe at 7754 Palm River Road to find smoke coming from the roof of the restaurant.

After making sure the cafe was evacuated, firefighters attacked flames centered around the kitchen area, getting the blaze under control in about 15 minutes.
