Pam Bondi Takes Attorney General's Race
With 95 percent of the state's precincts reporting in, the Republican has taken the win, according to unofficial results.

Incumbent Republican Pam Bondi will get to serve another four years as Florida’s Attorney General.
With 95 percent of the state’s precincts reporting in, Bondi has a healthy lead over contender George Sheldon, according to unofficial results.
Bondi has garnered 55.37 percent of the vote while challenger Sheldon received 41.47 percent. A total of 3,153,623 votes were cast for Bondi, while Sheldon captured 2,377,649 votes, the Florida Division of Elections website indicated at 9:49 p.m.

Bondi hails from the Tampa Bay area and is a staunch conservative who has worked to tackle such issues as prescription drug abuse, human trafficking and most recently has come under fire for her stand to uphold the state’s same-sex marriage ban.
Sheldon is a child welfare advocate who has served in the Florida House, worked as deputy attorney general and was the Secretary of the Department of Children and Families from 2008-10. He also served as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Children and Families in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
