Pedestrian Killed By Side-View Mirror Of Passing Pickup Truck
A 52-year-old woman died after being struck by the side-view mirror of a pickup truck while walking down U.S. 301.
MANGO, FL -- A 52-year-old Gibsonton woman died at Tampa General Hospital Thursday, Sept. 14, after being struck by the side-view mirror of a pickup truck while walking down U.S. 301 near Sabal Industrial Boulevard in Mango.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:10 p.m. Justin Larry, 21, of Seffner was heading south in the outside lane of U.S. 301 in a 2012 Ford F350 pickup truck when he passed he Rhonda Darlene Reel walking down 301. As he passed, the side-view mirror on the truck struck Reel.. She was transported to the hospital where she later died.
