Pedestrian Killed on U.S. 41

Update Aug. 11, 3:30 p.m.: The Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of the man killed Monday morning. He is Raymond Michael Krug, 36, of Tampa.

Earlier:

A pedestrian is dead following a Monday morning crash on U.S. 41 just north of Palm River Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:27 a.m. as Albert Delisle, 54, of Ruskin was traveling north on U.S. 41. A man, who has not yet been identified, attempted to cross the northbound lanes and walked into the path of Delisle’s Ford F150.

The man died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
