Quadriplegic Murder Suspect Still on the Lam

The search for Central Florida's Sean Petrozzino continues.

When the bodies of Nancy and Michael Petrozzino were discovered in their Orange County home last Tuesday, a search for the couple’s son was launched.

Thirty-year-old Sean was described by deputies as a “person of interest in the murder of his parents.” Sean is a quadriplegic, who uses prosthetic legs to get around.

Considered “armed and dangerous,” Sean Petrozzino has managed to elude capture thus far, deputies say.

There are “no updates,” Orange County Capt. Angelo Nieves reported on Monday. “It is still ongoing and it is still an active search.”

Nancy, 64, and Michael, 63, were found shot to death in their 13031 Herning Way home. Sean was nowhere to be found, sparking the search and the alert that he may be armed. Sean is believed to be driving his father’s 2012 Toyota Camry, which was missing from the crime scene. The car is red in color and has Florida tag No. 112VZY.

As a child, Sean suffered from bacterial meningitis, which ultimately forced the amputation of his legs and hands.

While the Orlando Sentinel reported that Sean once made headlines for maintaining a positive attitude during his struggle, those headlines have changed dramatically in recent days.

Nieves remains hopeful that someone will spot Sean or the car and notify police.

Michael Petrozzino was a Disney World employee and his wife taught the second grade, according to WFTV.

Anyone who spots Sean is asked to call the Orange County Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
