'The Rock's' Mom, Cousin Recovering After Florida Car Crash
The two have been released from the hospital following an Aug. 2 run-in with an impaired driver in Clermont.

Fans of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson can rest a little easier. The professional wrestler and actor’s mother and cousin are now recuperating at home following a head-on collision in Clermont earlier in the month.
The Aug. 2 crash on U.S. 27 occurred when Ata Johnson and Lina Fanene were struck by a car that was attempting to avoid police during a chance, according to TBO.com.
Johnson’s Escalade was totaled in the crash, according to Mercury News. It had been given to her by her son as a Christmas present in 2012.

The woman responsible for the crash hasn’t been named by authorities as of yet. TBO reports charges, including DUI are pending.
“My first reaction was to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them,” Johnson wrote on his Facebook page. “But then you realize the most important thing is that my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family that much tighter today and be grateful you can look them in the eyes and say, ‘I love you’.”
