Scooter Rider Killed In Crash On U.S. 301 At Selmon Expressway
A 39-year-old Tampa man riding a scooter was killed early Wednesday morning while traveling on U.S. 301 near the Selmon Expressway.

BRANDON, FL — A 39-year-old Tampa man riding a scooter was killed early Wednesday morning while traveling on U.S. 301 near the intersection of the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 6 a.m. a 28-year-old Riverview man was driving north on U.S. 301 and the man on the scooter was heading south on U.S. 301 when the car driven by the Riverview man turned into the path of the scooter.
The rider was thrown from the scooter and died at the scene.
