Shark Con Ready to Take a Bite Out of Tampa
The two-day event is designed to bring ocean lovers together.

Comic book, science fiction, fantasy and horror fans all get their own conventions, so why not shark enthusiasts?
That thought seems to have been the inspiration behind a nearly new “con” that’s ready to take a second bite out of the Tampa Bay area this July. Dubbed “Shark Con 2015,” the two-day event is dedicated to all things shark and ocean related.
Heading into its second year, the convention “is an event that brings those who love the ocean together for a weekend of education and the fun of a Comic Con,” the event’s website states. “The goal behind Shark Con is to raise awareness for ocean conservation by bringing the general public and ocean enthusiasts together to inspire a love of the ocean.”
